ABOUT ANTOINE BETHEA
Antoine Bethea is a father, husband, author of “Bet On Yourself” Inside the Mind Of The Ultimate Underdog, Entrepreneur, Super Bowl Champion and 3x Pro Bowler who played 14 years in the NFL as a starting safety for the Indianapolis Colts, San Francisco 49ers, Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants. Bethea was named the Walter Payton Man of the Year twice with the Colts and Cardinals. The Award is the highest honor an NFL player can receive for his work off the field. This award is given to those players that represent the best of the NFL’s commitment to philanthropy and community impact.
Antoine grew up in Newport News, VA and was a standout athlete and scholar at Denbigh High School before attending Howard University in Washington DC where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Giving back and investing into his hometown as well as other underserved communities has always been a passion and focus of his.
Antoine is the owner of Elite Trucks and District 41 Sports Bar. He is also the founder of The Bethea Family Foundation where his most recent work includes teaming up with the city of Newport News to build the Antoine Bethea Basketball Court, the first outdoor lighted court in the heart of Newport News, and recently provided more than $50k in rent relief to families facing eviction due to COVID-19.
Antoine continues to inspire and serve his community through philanthropy work and various business ventures. An outstanding father and community member, Bethea remains committed to being the best man that he can be.
